Valkyrie kneed the woman in the gut, and she doubled over in pain. Valkyrie pressed in and was too late to twist out of the way when she saw it was a fake. The woman socked Valkyrie on the nose and both of them heard the bone crack. Blood poured out of her nose.
The woman swung her arm in an arch and hit Valkyrie on the neck. She tumbled on the floor. She twisted out of the way right before the woman stomped on her stomach. Valkyrie rolled up to her feet, lashed out a kick of her own. The woman reacted really fast and grabbed Valkyrie's feet in mid kick and pulled. Valkyrie's feet flew out from under her. Valkyrie's head hit the floor and stars flew behind her eyelid. She lifted one hand to push at the air. It wasn't a really good one but the woman's feet still flew out and she went sprawling. Valkyrie didn't waste one second to hesitate. She rolled up again, ignoring the bad headache thumping in her ear, and send a fistful of shadows down at the woman but the woman rolled out of the way in the last second. Valkyrie sent another fistful of shadows at the woman and this time she wasn't so lucky. The woman got hit in the chest and she bent over, gagging for air. Her robs are broken because she is holding her chest. After a few moments, the woman stopped moving and Valkyrie thought the woman had fainted. She looked around for Skulduggery to help her carry the woman's body. Then she felt hot and sticky stuff oozing out of her foot and a sharp sting came. Valkyrie wobbled on her foot. She stumbled backwards and tripped over a rock and fell on the knife the woman was holding upwards. It stabbed down on to Valkyrie's thigh and she screamed. Blood oozing out of the wind and trickled down the knife. The woman pulled the knife out harshly, and Valkyrie gave out a new scream of pain. And the woman stabbed on to Valkyrie's lower leg. She gave out another scream. She jerked out of the knife and rolled away before more stabbing from the woman. Valkyrie was panting hard from the pain and sweats came rolling down her forehead. Valkyrie tried to move but the instant she moved her muscles, in tightened and all the muscles twisted together and Valkyrie cried out again. The woman walked closer, holding a black cylinder with a red button which was beeping. It's already activated.
Valkyrie swng her leg up and kicked in the air. one foot landed on the woman's shin and she fell down. The black cylinder rolled out of her hand. Valkyrie scrambled up and tried to reach for the cylinder but there was someone pulling at the back. It was the woman. She grabed Valkyrie's feet and tugged. Valkyrie fell face first on the floor. They both scrambled up at the same time but the woman was the first to reach it.

Sudden quietness.......
BOOM! The bomb exploded and Valkyrie flew away in to the sky. she landed painfuly on her back and lay on the ground. the last thing she saw before clouded darkness was Skulduggery running towards her and carried her into the bentley.
Valkyrie woke up in Skulduggery's bed. with a groan, and felt all her muscles still tense from the stab and cuts. But all the wounds are healed. She didn't know how but it happened. She sat up on the bed. She looked around, and didn't see anyone except for a note. it was by Skulduggery. It says:
Dear Valkyrie, I'm going to look for the nice woman who set that bomb. I will be back in about two hours. There is food in the cupboard. You can make your self a snake. Love, Skulduggery.
Valkyrie put the note down and had a proper look around his bedroom. She had never been in here before. She found a book on the table, lying open. It looks like some sort of journal. she peered at it. 'No,' she thought 'I shouldn't look at other people's diary. but if i do, it might make us work even better than now.' So she peered at it again. after reading it for five minutes, she suddenly gasped and stood up. "No, no, this cant be true! this can NOT be true!" she gasped.
This was what had written on the Journal: Her eyes is a gorgeous brown, her dark and lovely hair is so pretty when the wind blows. when she had been with Fletcher, he had envyed him but he must not be in love with her other wise it might be bad for the investigation. but i have to tell her. i dont love her just as her best friend or just her patner but i've had loved her. Valkyrei had grown into a beautiful, nice young women. i really wish she would know that i love her.
Valkyrie dont know weither to laugh or to cry or to worry. she had got a little crush on him but.........
Tears swelled up in her. she heard the front door open and she wiped her eyes and closed the diary.she opened the door and went out to meet Skulduggery.
